July 28

Today we left our friends Judy and Arden Olson in Gresham, Oregon and continued our trip to Tillamook.,Oregon. We came this way to see Cannon Beach. So many people have told us we gotta go see Cannon Beach so that is where we are headed today. When we got to the campground we packed the car and off we went to Cannon Beach. Yes it is beautiful, the water is very cold as is the weather, 67 for the high today and we work jackets to the beach. It was cloudy and windy. The sand was soft except on the waters edge and it was like hard mud there. We saw a gray whale from the beach, yes we really saw a whale!!!! We are going to head onto Bryce Canyon tomorrow. Bobby is ready to get home and we still have a lots to see at Bryce Canyon. We thought about staying here a few days but since the weather has turned cold we are heading toward home instead. I just hope I can get him to take it slow so he won't get too tired.

July 23

Hello everyone,

Day 50 of our trip.We are in Castle Rock, Washington until Sunday. We then move onto Gresham, Oregon to visit one of Bobby's high school friends.
We have been staying in National Parks since my last post, with no cell service or internet. No TV either.  Bobby has made the transition very well. It has been so beautiful and quite. We have stayed so busy we have to make the time to eat. We are going 8 to 10 hours sighting a day.
I will try to post some of our pictures but I am so far behind it would be far too many to try to post them all.
Since Forks, Wa. we have been Hoh Rain Forest, Mount Rainier, then to Mt. St. Helen. I think we are heading to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce & Zion Canyon, then we do not know where we will end up but we start our trip home, SLOWLY. 
We went to see Mt. St. Helen today. It was pretty but we have seen soooo many pretty places. The temps are ranging from 70 to 80 day time to 50 at night. We have only had 1 day of rain on the whole trip. And that was when Bobby was sick and we was staying in anyway. Hope the good weather continues.
Hope everyone is having a good summer and we miss yall. See you sometime in August.

Forks Washington

Hello everyone,
We are in Forks, Washington now. This is where the movie Twilight was made. The movie made this small town a place on the MAP. There is not much here accept stores carrying Twilight stuff. The beach is black gravel and stones with some many logs and large trees that have washed up on shore. You can hardly get to the beach because of the BIG logs....This is the Pacific coastline and the waves are big and rough, no one can go into the water. We could not go down to the LaPush Beach because the Coast Guard had it blocked off.
I will try to post another blog later tonight but I wanted to be sure to get this one out for the Twilight fans. We have saw so many beautiful sites since the last post it will take me a while to catch up on the places we had been.

Columbia Ice fields   people walked out into the icefields, we did not go because it was so windy, cold and a very steep hill to climb.

We leave for Cranbrook, Canada to overnight at Walmart, lol on highway 93. Then on to Donald, Canada to stay a few days. While there we will see YoHo National Park, Banff National Park, and maybe part of Jasper National Park. Then we move onto  Hwy 1 into Vancouver, Canada. From there we will head into Washington State on Interstate 5.
Of course we will not have cell phone while in Canada, that will seem very strange. I hope to have some internet and if we do I will send out an email. The weather has been very nice so far, a little rain today. We went into town for an oil change for the car, then we had a chipped window repaired on the motothome.
Hope we make it into Canada ok. I am starting to get homesick for the kids, been gone 26 days and it seems like forever.
